We decided to try a sushi spot in Drumheller before a matinee Dragons game. The servings were large. The green tea was served hot. The miso soup was filled with seaweed and tofu. The miso was spot on. The assorted vegetable tempura was good. The rolls were yummy. If you have a craving don’t hesitate coming here while visiting the dinosaurs!
I know it’s Drumheller so you wouldn’t think of seafood. But! Damoa is tied for top spot for Sushi I’ve tried. Comparable to the best quality in Vancouver. My favourite roll is the Red Dragon roll. The salmon is perfect. So the shock of how good this is adds to the experience. I’ve now been here 3 times and every time it’s the same great experience. Highly recommended.
I brought my teenage daughter and her friend for a special treat. We enjoyed every moment! They loved the decor and commented how lovely the music was. We loved the green tea and when the sushi boat came the girls were so excited - needed to snap photos to post right away! There was plenty to eat for the three of us. The staff went above and beyond, staying past close to make sure we were well taken care of, including a special dessert for the girls. I highly recommend this local restaurant. A lot of traditional Korean and Japanese dishes to try as well.
"Rural Alberta" and "Sushi" don't stereotypically go hand in hand, but Damoa was yummy! The rolls were ample, and definitely better than sushi I've had in other tourist areas. Our food (table of four) was served promptly,
Just an amazing surprise! Very friendly staff & flavourful food. We shared the veggie tempura, chicken karage, spicy tuna roll, unagi roll & some tuna belly sashimi. Every dish was great! Will definitely stop by on our next bike trip.
WOW! This is some of the best sushi we've ever had. We got a party tray and were very impressed! We came here tonight for dinner and from the moment we walked in the door we were greeted promptly and kindly. The decor is beautiful with their cherry blossom trees and wall hangings. The bathrooms were very clean. We had wonderful service and they were especially sweet with our one-year-old. The food came quickly and tasted very fresh. We were pleasantly surprised by the presentation as well; the tea light candle was a very nice touch! Our family will certainly be back.
We always go to this restaurant when we have the chance and it always hits the spot! Generous portions and always fresh sushi and sashimi If you don’t like the sushi and sashimi, there are ample amount of hot Korean and Japanese dishes you can have
We came for my wife’s birthday after visiting the Royal Tyrell and Homestead museums. It is on the north side of the river and easy to get to, yet not on the main road. I had the Salmon Tataki. It was so good, I was very surprised just how good it was. Excellent service, very friendly staff. Wonderful ambiance and very clean. Infant change table in the washroom that is universal so I as a dad could give my wife a break from changing our son on her birthday especially. Well done! God Bless!
